Kickstarter: A Mad Tea Party!

Kickstarter and Indiegogo are two of my favorite sites that offer a lot of people the chance to fund their progects and dreams. I really love to look and see what everyone is up to; some of my friends even use it to gather funds to print their books like this one.

This is Jonathon's book that he has been working on for 9 years!!! Crazy right? Well he finished writing, drawing, and inking all 288 pages of his comic. Plus made all this extra stuff that you can buy as an addition to his book. Like these playing cards that he hand designed and will be printed, extra cool right? Having a full deck of playing cards is just one of the cool things, there's posters, original comic pages, other comics, avatars, and... well just go check it out! I'm really selfish and want this book so badly so help me get it by funding Jonathon's work and you can get something cool too.

Colouring Page!

Here is a colouring page that was available at Cloudscapes Halloween party on the 26th. Hope who those came by had a lot of fun!

Inking Free Hand

Looking back at the 16th-17th fashion, I am always in aww about the grandeur of dresses and detail that went in to making them. Apart from the undergarments, corsets for instance, that would be detrimental to the health of it's wearer. The texture of the gown would have hand stitched embroidery with elaborate detail. If you had the money that is. But the sketch was brought on by the discussion of just that. I didn't fix any of my inking mistakes, I just wanted it to be a quick practice.

Sleepless

I have always had a hard time falling asleep unless I'm so exhausted that I can't move; even then I may not fall asleep right a way. So this is just a little comic I did to poke fun at myself.

BTW this is the first comic with dialogue... go easy on me :)

Cloudscape Halloween Party Oct 26th

Art Cookies

What a better way to show your friends that they are cool by making them cookies that are glyphs? These Mayan glyphs mean "book" (a slight oups in design but no one noticed!) made out of delicious sugar cookies. I think I love baking just as much as drawing...

Sea Side

This is a mock up page of a story that I'm still flushing out. I love Victorian and Edwardian clothes so I have to research what time period I want this to take place in... It's such a hard choice! I think I like the sketch of this page better. I'll post it up soon for a caparison but I wanted to show the kids at the Manga class I was teaching that you could draw and ink in an hour! Wow what a marathon that was, mixed up on the waves so I'll be more careful on the full story.
